Normally, we as stay at home mom's of the ward, would meet every Wednesday at the park for a playdate. We do this consistently until the weather gets too hot. To end our little playdate for the summer we had a water day. They set up a slip n slide and had little kiddie pools for the kids to play in. It was a lot of fun. Jaxon was brave and didn't need any coaxing to go down the slide. Kenli needed a little, but after the first run she loved it and wanted to go again and again. Summer is officially here for us.

Kenli's 2nd Birthday
Our little miss Kenli turned two on April 28th. She is such a joy in our lives and we loved celebrating her special day. Kenli is into Dora right now so of course we had to have a Dora party. She absolutely loved her cake and all her presents. Kenli also loves--loves fruit snacks. Unfortunately Chris gave her some fruit snacks that her Grandparents gave her from her birthday package-and that kinda took priority over anything else. She lost interest in opening any of her other presents-she just wanted to sit on her princess chair and eat her fruit snacks. So now you know the way into my daughters heart-just give her fruit snacks. What a silly bug. We love you so much.

YAY for the Potty

Ok so this post is mainly just to celebrate. Only mother's who have had to go through the whole potty training business will probably understand. I potty trained Jaxon 2 months before his 2nd birthday. Why-a lot of my friends asked well two reasons-1. because he was ready and wanted to, and 2. because Kenli was coming in 2 months and I didn't want two kids in diapers. Well the first week potty training Jaxon was horrible-I didn't know if he would ever get it but then the next week it all just clicked and from then on it was pretty easy--he was ready. So Kenli just turned 2 and I vowed to myself that once we ran out of our last package of diapers we would start the potty training. Was I nervous-yes. Anyway the first week came and it was ok-not great but Kenli already had the bladder control thing down so she was only going every few hours-so it was easier for me to know when to take her. Unlike Jaxon who that first week had no idea what bladder control was-and I never knew when he was going to go. So yeah-I got to skip that part YAY. Still the first week is a little rough because you spend so much time in the bathroom trying to help your toddler figure out how to use this bodily function and that it is so so much fun. We read books-colored-sang songs-played games-whatever. Anyway I always feel a little discouraged-with that first week. You wonder will they ever get it? You think about putting them back in diapers-but I always seem to stay persistant and resist that temptation. So anyway-Monday came after the first week and a miracle happened. My daughter had no accidents and went on the potty all day long-and was happy about it! I wondered if this was a fluke or could I be so lucky that this was the begining. Well a week has gone by and my little Kenli is still doing so great--NO ACCIDENTS--NO DIAPERS--MAKES ME A HAPPY MOMMY. Good job little sis.
