spring is here

We went to our first Diamondbacks game this April. Chris got awesome tickets from work, and my family was here visiting so we were all able to go. We had a lot of fun except the Diamondbacks lost by 2 runs.

We had a rainy weekend a few weeks ago, a rare occasion here in AZ since we only see on average 35 days of rain per year. Anyway-it was cloudy and a little chilly but Jaxon was so excited for the rain. It doesn't rain a lot here, but when it does you usually get a lot of puddles since the ground doesn't absorb it very well. So, Jaxon asked me if he could play in the puddles. I told him we had to wait until it stopped raining-and if the puddles were still there we could play in them. Well we went out after all the raining and the kids had a ball playing out in a big puddle at the end of our circle. Kenli just stomped around in it-Jaxon pretended to be fishing-what fun. They were so cute, and wet, and crazy.

Easter Time

Decorating Easter eggs is always an adventure when you have a 2 yr old around. Little Kenli is such an independent girl that she really wanted to dunk all the eggs all by herself in the dye. She was extremely irritated when we tried to help. All in all I think we had a great time and no permanent damage was done.

I took these cute pictures of Jaxon and Kenli easter morning just before we went to church. They were acting so cute with one another I just had to capture it on camera.

Since our ward starts at 8am, and Chris and I have to be there early-we had to wait until after church to look for eggs but the kids didn't seem to mind. They did a great job. Like last year Jaxon was pretty focused on finding the eggs, but Kenli was easily distracted after she found her first chocolate bunny.

Easter Time

For Easter dinner we did something fun and went to the park to have a picnic. The kids loved being outside and I loved not having to cook dinner. Jaxon also got to fly his kite for the first time today. He got this kite from his Grandparents for his birthday and has been wanting desperately to try it out-but we just hadn't had the wind for it until today. He really loved it.
